Our Story

Evergreen Dance Studio was created from a simple belief: every dancer deserves a place where they feel welcomed, encouraged and valued.

After many years of dancing, performing and teaching, I realised the moments that mattered most weren't the trophies or the perfect routines. They were the smiles, the friendships, the confidence that grew week after week, and the joy of watching dancers discover what they were truly capable of.

As both a qualified teacher and dance educator, I've seen firsthand the incredible impact a positive and supportive environment can have. Dance is about so much more than learning steps. It's about building confidence, developing resilience, expressing creativity and creating lifelong memories.

I founded Evergreen Dance Studio to create the kind of community I would want for every child, teenager and adult here in the Adelaide Hills - a place where everyone feels they belong, regardless of age, experience or ability. Whether it's a toddler taking their very first dance class, a child discovering the confidence to perform, a teenager finding their passion, or an adult returning to dance after many years, every journey is celebrated.

The name Evergreen reflects everything we hope to inspire. Evergreen trees symbolise strength, growth and resilience. Like those trees, we believe confidence grows over time through encouragement, patience and support. Every dancer develops at their own pace, and every achievement, big or small, is worth celebrating.
